There are so many things one dreams about but seldom they are realized. When I was young I yearned to buy a camera and that I what I bought out of my first pay check. I traveled to many interesting places, took many pictures with that. I was happy. Fast forward - studies in US. As a student, you have relatively less responsibilities and that is when one can explore and let the flower of dreams unfurl. I bought a DSLR. I traveled to many many places - more than any other grad student in the campus could do within a year. I took tons of pictures. I was happy again.
Last week I visited the most beautiful park ever - the Yellowstone National Park. It is in Wyoming - for those who didn't know. It is full package of wildlife, breathtaking landscape, grand waterfalls, hot geysers and pretty hotsprings. What more can we expect to see in one place? It was complete 'paisa wasool' (value for money!)
Just before leaving for Yellowstone, I attended one of the movie screenings at the Ohio Union and it was of the movie 'Up'. Needless to say, it was a cute movie. For some reason I tried to correlate my life with that old man's life. I want to visit that lost land - that virgin land where you have the 'paradise falls'. That is when I thought I should start collecting pictures and document my trips. May be a collage or a photo-frame.
Today I got four pictures framed! They are 8"X10" each. I have another one printed out - 11"X14"! I am super excited for that. I hope to print at least 10 different pics from each of my trip from now onwards and document them. Like someone said - pictures speak a thousand words. Indeed true.
